Willie Johnson, 92
YOUNGSTOWN Services will be Saturday, Jan. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Beulah Temple United Holy Church for Mr. Willie Johnson, 92, of who departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Mr. Johnson was born March 19, 1914 in Fort White, Fla., a son of William and Elizabeth Bell Johnson, coming to this area in 1946.
He had been employed with Republic Steel (LTV) for many years before retiring in the late 1970s. He was a member of Beulah Temple United Holy Church, where he served as Deacon and was a Sunday School teacher.
His wife, the former Jennie Hills, whom he married April 21, 1935, passed away Oct. 27, 1995.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister-in-law and legal guardian, Rosena Hills of Youngstown; his sister, Bertha Thomas of Gainesville, Fla.; two nephews; two nieces and other family and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
