Mary A. Opsitnik, 91
YOUNGSTOWN There will be services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown for Mary A. Opsitnik, 91, who died peacefully at her home Tuesday evening surrounded by her family.
Mary was born Jan. 20, 1916 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Mary Stanko Klein and was a lifelong area resident.
She had worked in the upholstery department of General Fireproofing for several years. She was a member of the church and had been a former member of St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Youngstown. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening, but most of all, she enjoyed looking after her family.
Her husband, John K. Opsitnik, whom she married June 1, 1940, died Nov. 10, 1995.
She leaves two sons, John (Dick) Opsitnik and his wife, Barbara of Felton, Del. and Donald A. Opsitnik and his wife, Patty of Poland; a sister, Helen Eusanio of Boardman; four grandchildren, Leah Foy, Nikki Opsitnik, Andrew Opsitnik and Elizabeth Opsitnik; and two stepgrandchildren, Kimberly Herold and Michele Gross.
A sister, Margaret Jackson and five brothers, John, Joseph, Stephen, Albert and Edward Klein, are deceased.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church.
Contributions may be made to the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown.
