Edward Pleas, 57

YOUNGSTOWN – There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home for Edward Pleas, 57, who departed this life Sunday at his residence.
Mr. Pleas was born Sept. 22, 1949 in Youngstown, a son of Henderson and Ola M. Bronson Pleas.
He worked for Delphi Packard Electric, retiring after 30 years. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Youngstown State University and was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran during the Vietnam Conflict.
He leaves a son, Asim Tulane Pleas of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Nieda Jones of Meridian, Miss.; three sisters, Anne P. Cobbin and Essie P. Winkfield, both of Youngstown and Juanita (Ernest) Warren of Twinsburg; a brother, Harold (Loretta) Pleas of Youngstown; grandchildren, Asim Tulane Pleas Jr., Sade Gray and Amaya Pleas; a godson, Lorenzo Carter II; and best friends, George Warren and Brenda Penson-Grace, both of Youngstown.
Viewing will be Friday from noon to 4 p.m. at the funeral home where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
