James A. O’Leary Sr., 78

YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Fox Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown for James A. O’Leary Sr., 78, who died Saturday morning at his residence.
Mr. O’Leary was born June 13, 1929 in Youngstown, a son of the late James and Ellen Curtain O’Leary.
A 1947 graduate of South High School, he worked as a welder for Truscon and later LTV. He attended St. Patrick Church and enjoyed antique cars and woodworking.
Mr. O’Leary served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
His wife, the former Lois J. Yosua, whom he married May 9, 1964, died March 31, 1996.
He leaves two daughters, Mary Ann O’Leary of Youngstown and Kathy (Terry) Duffney of Columbus; a son, James A. (Cheryl) O’Leary Jr. of Cleveland; a sister, Sr. Mary O’Leary O.S.U. of Canfield; a brother, John O’Leary of Columbus; and four grandchildren, Jeremy Davis, Colin and Garrett O’Leary and Keely Duffney.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy and David O’Leary.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
