George H. Conway, 68

STRUTHERS – George H. Conway, 68, of 572 Sexton St., died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Mr. Conway was born Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1938 in Philadelphia, a son of Harold S. and Ruth Rishel Conway.
A 1956 graduate of Clearfield High in Pennsylvania, Mr. Conway worked as a final processor for General Motors in Lordstown for 41 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Struthers for more than 25 years, treasurer of the Credit Union One in Lordstown, chairman of the Election Committee for the UAW 1112 and was on the recreation committee for the UAW for many years.
Mr. Conway is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Stewart; two daughters, Ruchelle Conway and Annette Nitzsky, both of Struthers; four grandchildren, Christopher George Conway, Alicia Nitzsky, Amber Nitzsky and George Nitzsky III; six brothers, Burton (Betty) Conway and Phillip (Toots) Conway, all of New Market, Va., Edgar Conway of Fairfield, Calif., his twin brother, Jon (Jean) Conway of Cape Coral, Fla., William (Dixie) Conway of Woodland, Pa. and Dean (Mildred) Conway of Morrisdale, Pa.; and a sister, Nadine Bressler of Curwensville, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ida Mae Kester; a nephew, Allen McBride; and a sister-in-law, Fumie Conway.
Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers where there will be funeral services Saturday at 11 a.m.
