Edith M. Dahman Sackella, 83

AUSTINTOWN – Edith M. Sackella, 83, passed away Monday morning, May 12, at Austinwoods Rehabilitation and Health Care Center following a brief illness.
Edith was born July 11, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Peter and Gabriella Ondreyko Kutlick, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of Chaney High School, was a homemaker, and worked as a custodial worker at Austintown Middle School for 11 years, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown.
Edith leaves a son, Charles (Peggy) Dahman of Boardman; three grandchildren, Paul Dahman of Miami Beach, Fla., Michelle (William) Lovitz of North Lima, and Christopher Dahman of Austintown; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and William Lovitz; and a sister, Annie Krusich of Austintown.
Edith will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her first husband, William Dahman, whom she married June 28, 1948, passed away Jan. 17, 1976. Her second husband, Frank Sackella, whom she married July 10, 1982, passed away Dec. 10, 1986. A brother, Peter Kutlick, and six sisters, Rose Briach, Sophie Sesonsky, Arlene Russell, Mary Mihalko, Mildred Kraynak, and Catherine Kutlick, are also deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home and continue at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
