Barbara Jean (Bulah) Collins, 69

YOUNGSTOWN – Mrs. Barbara Jean (Bulah) Collins, 69, departed this life on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Collins was born June 12, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Dorothy Davis Bulah.
She was a 1957 graduate of North High School. After graduating, she attended Renee’s Beauty School. Barbara had been employed with Packard Electric for over 19 years, retiring in 1981. She was a licensed cosmetologist and a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, and attended the Restoration Ministries.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her beloved husband, Joseph, whom she married in November of 1981; a son, Byron “Johnny” Duncan of Campbell; three stepsons, Roderick Twyman of Stone Mountain, Ga., Stanley Collins of Nashville, Tenn. and Joseph Collins Jr. of Youngstown; two stepdaughters, Latasha Waters of Springfield and Sandra Raye (Marc) Redmond of Dayton; a brother, James (Helen) Bulah of Las Vegas; three sisters, Darlene Williams of Baltimore, Majorie Bulah of Sarasota, Fla. and Glenda Bulah of Girard; 16 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; and a sister, Mary Miller.
A memorial service will be held today, March 6, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the Restoration Ministries, 336 Breaden St. in Youngstown, with Pastor Robert Felder officiating.
