Mary Lou Krause, 84

 BOARDMAN – There will be a Memorial Mass at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Saint Dominic Church for Mary Lou Krause, 84, formerly of Terrace Drive in Boardman, who passed away Thursday evening at Saint Elizabeth Boardman Heath Center.
Mary Lou was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Janitor Lawrence.
She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended the Lou Rowan Business College. She was a secretary for the Mahoning National Bank.
Mary Lou was a member of Saint Dominic Church. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Club, several bridge clubs, and the Dancing Saturday Nighters at Idora Park. She was a Welcome Wagon Greeter and an Avon Consultant. Mary Lou was very active in the community and active in several garden clubs, having won numerous awards for her floral arranging.
Her husband, Nelson “Bud” Krause, is deceased.
A magnolia tree will be planted in Mary Lou’s and Bud’s memory.
She leaves a sister, Irene “Renee” (John) Anderson of Wheeling, W.Va.; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Drevet and Helen Nemesek, both of Girard; two nieces, Lori Anderson Myers of Bow, N.H. and Terri Anderson Cremo of Champion, Pa.; and two nephews, Tom Anderson of Pittsburgh and Jack Anderson of Columbus.
Mary Lou’s body was donated to NEOUCOM, as was her husband’s body so that someone else may benefit.

The family will receive friends at Glen Ellen Senior Living on Market Street in North Lima after Mass on Wednesday from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
