Mary A. Young, 93
AUSTINTOWN Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, with the Very Rev. Edward Noga officiating, for Mary A. Young, 93, who entered into rest Monday morning at her home.
Mary was born Dec. 3, 1916 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Fred J. Sr. and Margaret J. (Breese) Mincher.
She was a 1938 graduate of Boardman High School and was a member of St. Patrick's Church.
Mary retired as a sales clerk in the houseware department at the Joseph Horne Co., and she had also worked at the Fanny Farmer Candy Co., Crystal Bakery, and at G.M. McKelvey Co.
Her husband, Clarence C. Young, whom she married in 1939, passed away in 1944.
Mary will be sadly missed by many, including her son, Edward Young of Austintown; two brothers, Fred Mincher Jr. of Struthers and John Mincher of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Donna Keslar of Austintown and her friend, Larry Grbinick, also of Austintown. She also leaves nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a sister, Vivian Chatham; a brother, Edward Mincher; and a nephew, David Chatham.
Friends may call today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home.
