Frederick D. Hunt
BOSTON Frederick D. Hunt passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at Boston Rehabilitation and Sub Acute Center in Dedham, Mass.
He was born April 25, 1939 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., the son of the late Charles Sr. and Elizabeth Harris Hunt.
The family moved to Youngstown in 1943 and Fred attended Youngstown Public Schools, graduating from The Rayen School.
Mr. Hunt served four years in the U.S. Air Force, and relocated to Boston, where he was a manager at the Singer Company prior to his illness.
Freddie had a love of music throughout his life, especially old school and also enjoyed repairing and troubleshooting equipment, such as computers and sewing machines. All who knew him were delighted with his hearty laughter.
Freddie will be deeply missed by his three sisters, Jacqueline Austin of McDonald, Veronica Taylor of Columbus and Alicia Smith of Austintown; three brothers, Jimmy and Larry Hunt, both of Youngstown and Robert Hunt of Orwell; and a host of other family members and friends.
Besides his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne; brother, Charles Hunt Jr.; and companion, Sylvia Thomas.
Funeral services will be entrusted to the Davis Funeral Home, 89 Walnut Ave., Roxbury, MA 02119, on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010.
